Monday, October 7th - Day 1 of Q1 Clarklisto Project

Mr. Clark and Mrs. Carlisto have been covering the content of Q1 Clarklisto Project.  Now, we put it all together in the next two weeks.  Our final product of this project will be a DBQ essay on the Reconstruction Amendments.  This project will be 25% of your grade in SS8 and ELA8.

1) Tomorrow - We will visit the Lake Placid-North Elba Museum.  This will be a great test for our DC trip.

1.5- Here are your permission slips, please get them signed tonight and don't forget them tomorrow.

1.8-Be sure LW #2 has been turned in.

2) Now, let's organize those green folders.  You have (3) minutes to make sure your folder has the following:
             - 11 unstapled amendments
             - 5 stapled amendments (1, 13, 14, 15, 19)
             - Reconstruction Terms/Chart of 13, 14, 15 Causes &                         Effects
             - Text evidence sheet on Opportunities/Vote/No Fear 

3) Let's Review what the 13, 14 and 15 amendments say?  And, what those words mean?

4) What are Historical Documents?  Sources?  Primary vs Secondary Review.

Now, let's get to work.  Mrs. Carlisto will explain a written assignment surrounding the PROMISES of the 13, 14 and 15 Amendments.  Those promises were:
               - AA's will have a say/vote in government
               - AA's will have the opportunity to succeed
               - AA's will be able to live a life without fear and                                 intimidation
