Day # 2 Wednesday 2/28

We have assigned your topics and stories. Before you can begin, we need you to investigate your topic
so the story makes more sense to you. Please follow the steps listed below in order.

  1. Find your group on the document
  2. Read the research that is linked/watch the video if available
  3. Begin filling out notes  (We will provide hardcopy for you)
  4. As a group, discuss your findings. Use each other as a resource to fill in holes or ask questions.
You are responsible for making sure all people in your group know each part of the research.
5. Each individual will create his/her own flipgrid where he/she talks us through the whole topic
  including background, topic and impact.
Flipgrid guidelines:
  • Talk through topic in a sensible way
  • 60-90 seconds
  • Do not read directly
  • You may use notes to help guide your natural, flowing summary
  • Transition well (Background Information-Topic-Impact)

6. Obtain your own copy of the story and read through it individually-annotate by asking questions
and summarizing info in the margins.

HW: Carefully read and annotate the assigned story.
We expect this to be done as you enter class tomorrow.
