Day #3 Monday 9/24

Day #3 9/24:

Let’s get out the computers and look at your chart of the TOP 3 AMENDMENTS.

Students will be assigned one of their groups’ choices to present back to the class.
Let’s first look at an example:
 chart example

Now, consider if your chart is sufficient so you can complete a flipgrid.
Pay particular attention to column 3.  Is it a thorough explanation? Is it a short
paragraph?  Does it fully answer the questions?

You now have 10 minutes to finalize/amend the chart.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now you need to prepare to present your assigned amendment to the class via
FlipGrid.

You should prepare an INDEX CARD to assist you when presenting.  When you
speak into the flipgrid it should sound natural. You should NOT just read from the
chart.  Your presentation needs to:

  1. Introduce your amendment (#, title)
  2. Explain the promise of the amendment
  3. Explain why this amendment falls into the MOST IMPORTANT category.
What will the fulfillment of this promise mean to individual Americans?
And, what does it say about our country as a whole?

Other considerations:

  • Flipgrids should be 60-90 seconds
  • Title the flipgrid the # of your amendment
  • Lastly, when taking the “selfie” students can only add ONE creative element

When you have finished the flipgrid, read your IR books.
IF FG not done by the end of the block, come to Ms. Carlisto’s room
period 10
